ERIN FAITH ALLEN - INSTAGRAM

New art book in process inspired by the women of Ravensbrück concentration camp who are never far from my thoughts or my heart. .................. Lately my world has been spilling over  with so much kindness, connection, and explosive creativity. I am taking the time to luxuriate in this, and hold true gratitude. I know what I am about to say may sound trite - but I freaking mean it from my guts. And if you know me well you know how deeply I feel this: Because of my work and research around war and trauma, I know how precious connection is. How slippery the line is between creating and destroying. And how fine that slippery line is between tolerance and judgment.  These women of Ravensbrück always bring me back to holding a tone of tolerance. I truly believe I can best honor their lives, deaths, and the suffering they experience or experienced in between by being constantly on my toes. Cultivating tolerance and wider perspectives. Allowing others and their choices to mingle with my own.  These women of Ravensbrück will always be my muses, my teachers, and one my heart’s greatest breakening and awakenings. 💛🌸🙏😭💔 #ravensbrück #concentrationcamp #kz #konzentrationslager #wwii #ww2 #worldwartwo #worldwar2 #history #women #historygeek #art #artist #artbook #artjournal #author #writer #tolerance #remembrance
