ORLY AVINERI - INSTAGRAM

Even though I should have concentrated on getting ready yesterday for my trip to Whidbey Island, I got seriously sidetracked. I am happy I have today to return to the task at hand. . The muse, the enticement, the pull, the draw, the lure, the inspiration, the creative impulse. I like to call it the 'insanity', or more gently, my 'sanity keeper'. Whatever you like to call it, when it self-invites, you just don't say no. Well, I don't. . And the fact that there is almost nothing better than that, (almost), in the world, makes it really hard to say no to. . So yesterday I finished the last mini lap journals I had and they will be the last I make in general, for sale. I call them the Eight Bright Ones. They are covered with parts of my old journal pages. (ALL SOLD OUT) . You can find out how to get one of these by emailing me for information at orlyavineri@gmail.com . You can also join me in making these in my last workshop in my present living space in Southern Cal. in July. I have just two spots left. Please email me if you'd like to receive information for that one. orlyavineri@gmail.com . I receive so much support here from so many of you and for that I am deeply grateful. Making art in isolation, in my little lonely corner, was my way for decades, but in the last one it became clear to me that I must do it in connection with others. That there is absolutely no other way for me. . I feel so accomplished in that sense, thanks to you, here, on social media, to people who attend my workshops at my home and in so many other special places, to people who collaborate with me, and to people who purchase the things I make. . Thanks to you, I can make a living while living deeply in my passions. Thanks to you I feel that I am a part of this earth we live on. No simple matter. We should all feel this way. . #simpleliving #minilapjournals #artjournalingworkshop #inperson
