NICK BANTOCK STYLE JOURNAL PAGE
This experimental journal spread featured a spray background (no stencils this time) utilizing Liquitex aerosol spray paints - a quick way to cover the background. I also sprayed some picket fence white Distress Spray Stain randomly over the right side of the spread. Magazine pictures were cut out and adhered with gel medium, while left side was stamped with a circular stamp several times to allow for some journaling which can be done at a later stage. Pictures were outlined and smudged with a charcoal pencil - a small amount of Turquoise Pan Pastel was used around an image on the black portion of the page and then sprayed with Krylon matte sealer. Two rub-ons from Tim Holtz were added to finish my composition.
NOTE: THE RIGHT SIDE OF THIS SPREAD HAS NOW BEEN MATTED AND HANGS AS AN ART PIECE IN THE LIVING ROOM.

Very nice pages. I did join the Lifebook 2015 and have completed week 1 now. You can see my week 1 here...http://okienurse.blogspot.com/2015/01/week-1-beacon-of-light.html. I am just slow going but having fun doing as much art as I can.
